The Stamford Chamber of Commerce welcomed Bryant Sturdevant as the new Live Oak Apartments owner at a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, June 20. The apartment complex, built in the 1980’s, was previously owned by Tension Management, LLC.

“I am excited to have my business in Stamford,” Sturdevant said. “It has already been such a welcoming community and I am looking forward to getting involved.”

The 40-unit complex currently has all but 5 units leased. The complex features 10 building units with a playground and large green space for recreation for the residents.

Since February of 2014, Karin Menzel has been the manager of the complex. Besides managing the leasing, over the past year she has helped oversee some of the previous management’s updates and renovations, and will now oversee Sturdevant’s.

Just in the last year, Live Oak Apartments has seen major renovations to the exterior including the removal of rotted wood, a fresh coat of exterior paint and new stair railings. Sturdevant plans to continue updating the complex by renovating the individual units with new paint, flooring and light fixtures.

“The complex’s updates and having Sturdevant as the new owner are great additions for Stamford,” Caitlin Richards Chamber of Commerce executive director said. “Having businesses that are committed to the success of Stamford is the key for our community’s success and Live Oak Apartments is one of those businesses.”

In conjunction with the ribbon cutting, Live Oak Apartments held an open house for the community to view a renovated unit and for current residents to meet the new owner. Sturdevant was accompanied by his wife Sarah and their children for the big celebration as well.  For more information about Live Oak Apartments, call 325-773-3771 or stop by the business office and speak with Manager Karin Menzel.
