The countdown for the Texas Cowboy Reunion is on. With a little over a month left before the TCR, the Stamford Chamber of Commerce is planning a community cleanup for Saturday, June 10, 2017.

“We have company coming to town soon,” Caitlin Richards, Stamford Chamber of Commerce Executive Director said. “Just like we would tidy up our own homes for guests, it’s time to do some downtown cleanup to prepare for our TCR visitors.”

The Chamber Cleanup will primarily focus on the Square and the surrounding areas. Plans to coordinate with Reclaiming Stamford are also in the works. The Chamber would like to invite the community to save the date and join them in the cleanup effort.

Community groups, churches and individual citizens from the community are all invited to take part in the cleanup by making it a fun service event. If interested, sign up here or contact the Chamber at 325-773-2411 or chamber@stamfordcoc.org.

“We hope everyone in the community will either join us on the Square or take part in their own cleanup at their homes,” Richards said. “We hope it’s a day of service the entire community will come together for. From our front yards and businesses to our downtown square, it takes everyone to make Stamford’s pride shine bright.”
